Oracle 10g Spatial DBA

We need a fulltime Oracle 10g DBA to participate in design and maintenance of a cartographic database and software tools based on Oracle 10g spatial environment. This position involves creativity combined with technical ‘know how’ to address cutting-edge Oracle Spatial database issues.  As an Oracle Applications Database Administrator you will design, maintain, monitor, and optimize queries.  As the dedicated DBA for the mapping team you will interface and work with other DBAs on enterprise database issues, but will specifically be responsible for maintaining the cartographic database.  You will, devise strategies for tuning, partitioning and other performance enhancements, and then work with the team, in setting up Oracle environments, setup security rules, manage users, and troubleshoot production issues.

Minimum Requirement

8 years experience working in VLDB Oracle environments
2 years experience with Oracle 10g Spatial
8 years experience in PL/SQL
3 years experience working in a UNIX, Linux and Windows
Knowledge of cartographic applications
Experience working in a team environment with tight deadlines
Strong oral and written communication skills
